Better Morning

Sophia is having a little better morning.
Aside from the nurses digging for blood for an hour, she has been resting.
Around the time we all went to sleep last night, Sophia's numbers were just perfect. Her heart rate was down to 120bpm. Her respiration rate was around 25, and her sats were 91...yes, that was "91" with no oxygen.
Unfortunately, her sats dropped late in the night causing her to go back on oxygen. She is getting about half a liter now.
Vascular access is here again. She needs blood for labs now and again at 3pm.
Chest xray is still dry. We won't now anything about cultures until tomorrow.
More later...
Comments:
WOW, 91%!! Poor thing, having blood drawn for labs is no fun when the IV is gone. Still praying that the cultures show no infection.

Yeah, I am so glad that Sophia had a better night. I am praying that everything continues to improve so that you all can get some sleep. I am keeping your blog open and reading a lot. Thank you for your updates Mike.

Glad you all had a better night, awesome about the 91, hope it climbs back up there. Also praying for no infection . .

Wooo hooo! I've been out all morning and just not getting a chance to check in, and what great news... 91%! Continuing to praying there's no infection and the Xrays stay clear, and she continues to feel better, get stronger, and sleep well.

Good news!

Jon

Amazing what a little rest can do, seems like she is not so grouchy so now Mama can hold her.
She was sleeping peacefully all morning didn't even wake up for her favorite Doc, O'laughlin. He is really funny and plays games with Sophia.
He seems upbeat about her recovery, just need to get that one lung inflated and she will be O K
