Short Update and Make-A Wish Story

Sophia's cardiologist is reading her echo right now. Hopefully, we will be home by the afternoon. She ate about a cup and a half of oatmeal and a whole kiwi for breakfast. So her appetite is better this morning. They did a spot check of her sats this morning and it was in the mid to upper 90s.
Below is a couple of links to a story about a CHD kid, Andrew Geracoulis, that had a special sports wish come true. It was posted on the CHD Families KC Yahoo Board this morning. It is great to see awareness raising stories like this. I am not sure what his defect is. But the Boston Herald mentions he has had three surgeries. The first story link is on ESPN and written by his mother Cynthia. The second link is from the Boston Herald.
Both are short and worth reading.

That is from his mom's email signature.

Those were amazing stories, thanks for sharing them. :) Anxious for the update to see if you finally get to be on your way home, Sophia sure has been a little trooper. :)

What a wonderful story!!! However their should be a Kleenex alert before you read the stories. Now if Sophia gets to meet someone.....I think her Grandma Susan and I should help her choose that person.....ie. Tom Seleck in cut-offs and t-shirt.

Now on a serious note--it is so very wonderful to see that she is progressing so very well; and that she will be going home soon.

That story about Andrew made me cry with happiness.
Even great athletes have so much soul and this really proves it.
Thanks for sharing.
Hope your little family is out of there today, I know you can hardly wait.
See you at home
Love you all
